Pashmina (from the Persian pashm) refers to the plush cashmeres of Asia. The yarn is spun from the wool of goats raised in the high, remote reaches of the Himalayas. When woven into a matrix of pure silk, pashmina yarn produces a surprisingly soft and supple fabric that offers great warmth without bulk.
